Our History
The Minaret Impact and Career Foundry Initiative (Minaret Impact) is a Muslim think-tank established to deepen the competencies and capacities in the Ummah, and provide strategic advisory supports to deeni institutions in Nigeria.
The industrial revolution is upon us, and the future promises to be tough and deeply competitive, given the threat of overpopulation facing Nigeria as a nation. According to the World Bank estimate, for instance, the Nigerian population is expected to be 450 million by the year 2050. Looking at the current demographic dynamics, which suggests that over 60% are below 35 in age, the future of the country looks as much promising as scary and danger-bound. The youths of today being leaders of the future would have more heads to govern, and more complex and complicated problems to deal with.
Sadly however, there seem to be dearth of capacity building and mentoring platforms within the Nigerian Muslim communities. At present, the Ummah is never competitive, and are at disadvantage on all fronts. In terms of human capital, the Ummah is below par, and hence not sophisticated or well-trained enough to deal with the reality and challenges of the current times, and of the future.
Therefore, we have decided to develop new human capital development and mentoring initiatives alongside other support systems aimed at building new generation of leaders who are intellectually, ethically, and professionally prepared for the challenges of the future.

Sikiru is a senior finance professional with progressive experience that cuts across key sectors of the Nigerian economy. Using his expertise and experience, Sikiru has engaged all the team members as well as the mentees to meet the purpose for which MMC was established.
